This is our well established Silicone turntable platter mat - ideal for those of you looking for more damping than that afforded by felt mats.

Manufactured in a selected grade of 2mm white silicone, this mat is not like old style hard rubber mats - silicone is very pliable and 'floppy', so it almost clings to the platter and LP surface, giving great damping where it's most needed. 

Diameter is 295mm and weight is 166g. If you currently have a felt mat, you should not need to adjust the VTA, as these are generally the same thickness. The mat is exactly the right size to sit just inside the lip of LP12 platters. The mat can, if required, be washed in warm soapy water without harming it at all.

The Acrylic Platter Mat is ideal for those of you using a deck with a glass or alloy platter, but wishing to experience the sound quality of acrylic. It provides a neutral 'see-through' type sound quality with much improved dynamics. Our 10mm & 20mm acrylic replacement platters work wonders on Rega's and other decks with factory fitted glass platters, as well as decks like the Transcriptors which do not, in standard form, support the record over the whole playing surface. Unfortunately, we can't make them for Thorens or similar alloy platter decks as the dimensions required (to allow clearance for the motor pulley) make the acrylic platter far too light to balance the suspension. This mat, however, is the next best thing.... The rigid mat is 3mm thick, so you should not have to adjust the vertical tracking angle too much, as most standard mats are around 2mm thick. Diameter is 292mm. Weight is 250g. The playing surface is exceptionally smooth and the label recess enables perfect record support. The flip side is as smooth as the top face, and is brilliant for setting arm bias (anti-skate force). You simply place the stylus on it and adjust until the arm sits in the same place and does not move toward the centre or the edge. This will not damage the stylus and is arguably the most accurate way of setting the bias on your tonearm.

This is the best main bearing oil available - known to Audiophiles as 'Black Oil' it contains Molybdenum Disulfide and Graphite. Suitable for all belt or idler wheel driven turntables, this makes the bearing quieter, more efficient and drastically reduces wear. 10ml bottle – enough for a minimum of ten oil changes.

It is imperative that your turntable is set up perfectly level. If the deck is not level, not only will tracking error and bias compensation be compromised, but the motor and main bearing will not perform optimally, causing wow and flutter as well as generating undesirable noise. In some instances, the platter is not absolutely level with the top plate of the turntable. In our view there is only one way to set the level, and that is by taking a reading from the centre of the platter, when an LP is in place. Anything else is a compromise. This is why we designed this one. The accurate 40mm diameter vial has a machined and polished acrylic base, with a centre hole for the spindle - allowing it to sit precisely where you need it to - the centre of the platter. You may see cheaper circular bubble levels advertised as turntable levels but unless they have a base allowing them to sit over the spindle, they are no use for turntables, as they have to be placed to one side of the spindle and (when an LP is in place) this does not give a true reading. Similarly tubular levels are a waste of space for this application. The standard model TSL is 60mm diameter, 19mm high and weighs 44g. It will accept spindles that project up to 11mm above the record label. If you have a longer than average spindle, you will need the Deep Base model - this will accept spindles up to 21mm above the record label, and weighs 76g. Please state which model you require when ordering - there is no extra charge for the Deep Base model, but you should only order this if your spindle requires it, due to the additional weight.

When applied to the underside of the top plate and sub-chassis the sorbothane strips will effectively absorb resonances which occur in these parts of the deck. Sorbothane has legendary vibration absorption qualities and damping parts of the deck (that have a tendency to resonate) complements perfectly our other turntable upgrades such as the Silicone Platter mat, Platter Damping Ring, Motor Vibration Absorber and Bearing Damping Rings. This new, improved set consists of 8 triangular strips of 30 Duro, stepped Sorbothane with a self-adhesive backing. Approximate size of the strips is 100mm long, 30mm at the widest end and 10mm at the narrowest end. Approximate weight is 100g - which is 10% larger than our previous kit. This is enough to effectively damp the top plate and subchassis. Having said that, the more damping the better (and in most cases the base plate will also benefit) so if you wish to purchase more than one set, we will not charge any more for postage. The set comes complete with positioning instructions.

The first (and worst) point that turntables introduce noise into the system is the main bearing. The entire weight of the platter is carried by a metal to metal contact between the tip of the spindle and the bottom of the main bearing housing. Inevitably noise is generated. In some cases, like the Rega, the end of the spindle rides on a ball, but the bearing still relies upon metal to metal contact and the problem remains. The Spindle Support Pad is a small disc of high purity PTFE carefully sized to drop into the bottom of the main bearing housing. It provides an extremely low friction and non-resonant support for the tip of the spindle, or the ball on which it rides. The SPP drastically reduces main bearing noise and thereby provides: * Dramatically improved bass performance * Cleaner and Clearer sound throughout the entire audible frequency range * Considerably extended bearing life The Spindle Support Pad will improve virtually every turntable from a Project to a Linn! Remember - we offer a cast iron money back guarantee on all our products. Fitting the SPP is a five minute job - simply remove the old oil from the bearing housing, drop it in place, then re-oil. Put a record on, sit back and prepare to be amazed! The SPP will raise the platter by 1mm so, if you are fussy about VTA, you will need to adjust the arm up a fraction. The Revolution is a Record / Spindle damping device featuring an integral spirit level. It is manufactured from Acrylic and Sorbothane, and is designed to effectively damp the record and turntable spindle, without disturbing the balance of suspended sub-chassis turntables. It acts in a similar way to a clamp - the sorbothane base 'grips' the spindle and 'clings' to the record label. Unlike a conventional clamp though, it does not exert undue pressure on the record stressing the surface of the vinyl. We call it a 'Soft Clamp'. The theory behind damping the record is to absorb or minimise: 1. The vibration picked up by the record acoustically - a good example of this is if you tap the label. 2. The vibration transmitted to the record from the motor / main bearing. 3. That generated by the stylus itself, when tracing the modulations in the groove. The ideal is to damp the record without resorting to any method that unduly distorts the surface of the vinyl. The most elegant solution is to use The Revolution - preferably in conjunction with our Silicone Platter Mat. The Revolution also features a 20mm circular spirit level (in the optimum position - the centre of the platter) which will allow you to perfectly level your deck, minimising tracking error, wow and motor / bearing noise. We carried out extensive listening tests during the development of this product, and experienced impressive sound quality improvements on every turntable... Improvements you can expect are a quieter, smoother sound with firmer, more tuneful Bass. The Revolution also makes vocals more articulate and detailed, as well as reducing surface noise. The Revolution is 80mm diameter, 22mm high and weighs 78g. It will accept spindles that project up to 11mm above the record label. If you have a longer than average spindle, you will need the Deep Base model - this will accept spindles up to 21mm above the record label, and weighs 134g.
